Penis Problems after Sex – How to Deal with Post-coital Pain

Sex is supposed to feel good. The last thing men want when they’ve just enjoyed a pleasurable bedroom experience is an annoying penis consequence. This could include penis redness or irritated skin, as well as pain. Often it is aggressive rubbing or friction during sexual activity that can result in such discomfort.

Lube it Up

Sometimes lack of lubricant usage can be the culprit, as this is required in order to make penetration much more comfortable. In a study featured in The Journal of Intimate Medicine, researchers analyzed data of up to 2000 men’s sexual behaviors. They found that just over half the men were using lubricant during intimacy and that using lube helped to make men last longer during romantic encounters. Using lubricant makes intercourse more pleasurable for women, and it can certainly make the event more comfortable for men, as well.

Give it a Break

Regular sexual activity or masturbation can lead to irritation, which is why it’s important to abstain from relations for a few days after irritation has been caused in order to give the penis a chance to heal. For some men who have regular sex, the penis irritation could even include abrasions, dry patches and cuts. This can prove alarming at first, but such occurrences do not have to be symptomatic of other health conditions. A good test is to give the penis time to recover and see if the symptoms reappear.

Prevent Desensitization

It’s important to treat symptoms of penis irritation, as they could lead to dry penis skin and decreased sensitivity, common afflictions that men may suffer. However, this sensitivity issue can be prevented altogether by looking after the penis and providing it with the nourishment it needs in order to heal faster.

Benefits of a Penis Health Cream

A high-quality penis health cream can prove extremely beneficial in treating penis discomfort after sex. Creams that are enriched with the following nutrients can soothe and nourish the penis and protect it from further problems by boosting the skin’s natural lubricant properties:

Vitamin A – boosts cellular health and repairs manhood skin damage.
Vitamin C – stimulates collagen production in the skin, resulting in quicker healing from trauma.
Shea butter and Vitamin E – both of these soothe the skin and help to keep it supple. This, in turn, also enables the penis skin to be more sensitive to intimate stimulation.
L-Arginine – works to repair tissue damage and boost the body’s ability to heal after injuries.
