Bent Penis Woes – How to Take On Peyronie’s Disease

When men are affected by Peyronie’s Disease, they suffer from a severe bending or curvature of the penis. This can lead to pain as well as discomfort. Surgery is usually required to treat the condition; however there might be some consequences to Peyronie’s after it has been corrected. These include conditions such as erectile dysfunction and the reoccurrence of the problem. Here are some ways to treat them.

Erection Problems
Men who have suffered from Peyronie’s Disease are encouraged by Washington University to continue having sex, as there is no evidence sexual intercourse can lead to any complications or worsening of the condition. If men suffer from erection problems after having Peyronie’s Disease, however, there are medications that can assist. A study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine surveyed men who had experienced Peyronie’s Disease and were given medication for their erection problems and found that 70 per cent of the patients were very satisfied with the drug’s effectiveness.

Less sensitivity
Sometimes men who suffer from Peyronie’s Disease can feel that their penis is less sensitive to stimulation. This can be a cause for concern, but it can be helped. Avoiding intense friction can help to prevent nerve injury that can lead to desensitization, and using a penis health formula to enhance sensitivity is recommended to treat the lack of sensations.

Preventing Recurrence
As stated above, sometimes Peyronie’s Disease can return. Here are some ways to try to prevent recurrence of a curved penis by keeping it as healthy as possible:

1. Avoid penile trauma

Injury to the penis is one of the causes of Peyronie’s Disease, so being gentle with the penis and careful not to fracture it through uncomfortable sex positions or rough intercourse is highly recommended.

2. Add Vitamin E

Although there is still conflicting advice over whether or not men should take Vitamin E in order to prevent Peyronie’s Disease, some experts claim that a daily dose of 400 IU is recommended. However, it is always important to consult with one’s doctor before taking a supplement, as these can have side-effects or just not be suitable for one’s specific medical condition. According to an article on Livestrong, Vitamin E has promise for Peyronie’s Disease, but such claims have not demonstrated a consistent benefit.

3. Use  a Penis Vitamin Cream

A penile cream containing a variety of nutrients that can be applied directly to the penis on a daily basis can prove beneficial to Peyronie’s Disease patients. For instance, Vitamin E may help to repair damaged tissue, while Acetyl L Carnitine protects the nerves against injury and damage to improve penis sensitivity. Furthermore, Vitamin C increases collagen production and enhances firmness of penile tissue for stronger erections, while natural moisturizers help to maintain overall skin health and a supple appearance.
